This was a really fun project. It combines photographs that I have taken editing them together with Photoshop. I learned a ton from this project about Photoshop and some of its limits and capabilities of it. It’s really important to start with a good photo to make your life a bit easier! Also, the burn and dodge tools are a huge friend!

Many of you might not know this but for a gamer tag I go by Got Lost Send Help, Lost for short. This came from me constantly getting lost and off track in many of the video games I’ve played. I mean who goes swimming to a capital city for 8 hours! Well this piece is a basic one but it really affirms that it’s going to continue. I’m going to be lost forever!

A self-portrait that really expresses some of my thoughts and ideas. Hidden yet loud. It expresses some of my shy nature, yet it still is clearly a gay man. I love how it turned out and really think it showcases me a lot still.

We share a lot of connections with our neighbors. Many times it doesn’t feel like that because sometimes those neighbors have massively different views. Yet we still are connected. It’s important to remember this when considering how to treat and act towards another person. Their views may be different but their hearts are often just needing some love channeled into them.

Montana has an amazing place called the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas. Finding out about this place and my studies into the Mahayana Buddhism really brought this piece together. It’s a connection between summer and winter, of east and west, of nature and design. It’s a hope that humanity can move forward with compassion and understanding of each other rather then hate and bigotry.
